Nobel laureate becomes the youngest person to address Canada‘s Parliament

The 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate is presented with honorary Canadian citizenship by Trudeau in the Library of Parliament. She also received a Canadian flag previously flown on the Peace Tower as she became only the sixth person to be granted honorary citizenship. Former prime minister Stephen Harper announced the honour in 2014, but the attack on Parliament in October of that year forced the cancellation of an event in Toronto where she was to formally received it.
